Installation Instructions

Windows Mobile 6

1. Download VectorLink from the website to your PC.
2. Connect the handheld to your PC using ActiveSync.
3. Create a new folder on the SD card of your handheld called 'VectorLink'.
4. Copy the VectorLink 'cab' file from your PC into the 'VectorLink' folder on your handheld.
5. Navigate to the folder on your handheld and open (tap once).
6. Install VectorLink onto your SD card.
7. VectorLink is now installed.

Windows Mobile 5

1. Download VectorLink and the extra WM5 files from the website to your PC.
2. Extract the three CAB files from the WM5 zip file.
3. Connect the handheld to your PC using ActiveSync.
4. Create a new folder on the SD card of your handheld called 'VectorLink'.
5. Copy all four 'cab' files from your PC into the 'VectorLink' folder on your handheld.
6. Navigate to the folder on your handheld and open (tap once).
7. Install the files onto your SD card in the following order:
   • NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab
   • Sqlce30.ppc.wce5.armv41.cab
   • Sqlce30.repl.ppc.wce5.armv41.cab
   • VectorLink.cab
8. VectorLink is now installed.

Note: If you do not have an SD card, you can install VectorLink directly onto your handheld. However it is not recommended. If your device fails there may be no way of recovering your results data.

You will need a username and password to be able to access work awarded to you in VectorLink. If you or your principal contractor have not received this information or you are having problems installing VectorLink, please contact the Animal Health Board on (04) 474 7111.

Note: Please make sure you protect your handheld appropriately and that you have enough battery life when working out in the field.
